About the Author
I am a retired special education teacher and behavioral consultant. I worked in education for 43 years, and a few years in addition after retirement. I had the privelege of working with students of all ages, from kindergarten through college, where I taught future teachers. I now live in Michigan near my daughter's family and my only grandson who is eleven. I have a son who lives in Indiana.
I have finally published a book that I wrote over 30 years ago. It is called Ray's Violet and is about a boy who finds a purple lightning bug that helps him to solve a problem. The book is a juvenile fiction chapter book in the fantasy and magic category, targeted for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. The setting is loosely based on memories of living in Indianapolis in the 1980s. The book is available on Amazon.com or by clicking "purchase here" on this site.
2018 ended with the publication of my second book for children called A Poetry Primer: Scranford the Scarecrow and Other FUN Poems. Read about both books on this website. Both are available on Amazon.com in paperback or as an e-book.
